Hiking in Jura for the refugees: the Wavestone Powerdays supporting Peaks4All's activities and goals, a fantastic cross-cultural experience.
Last Friday, the 2nd of September 2022, we went hiking with Wavestone during one of their "Powerdays": Wavestone employees are supporting local NGOs by volunteering during a full day. We were so glad and grateful to share this moment of inclusion, diversity, sport and solidarity for and with the #refugees of Switzerland.
We climbed la Dôle, a very accessible hike in the Swiss Jura where you can access the best view on Lac Léman, and did a team activity around Swiss culture. Congratulations to Mohamad, Valéry and Aurélien for winning some Ovomaltine & Ragusa chocolates, some very famous Swiss delicacies!
We also shared some cultural lunches from our own countries: there was an interesting mix of turkish bürek, syrian cheese cakes and italian amaretti!
Finally, the employees brainstormed with us around the three main challenges of our association, to help us find new ideas around: fundraising, volunteering management and bringing more women refugees to the mountains. We're opened to your ideas at: peaks4all@outlook.com
